Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?

No, you don't! We provide high-quality sewing machines for all students to use. However, if you would prefer to master the machine you have at home, you are more than welcome to bring it along—just remember to bring your power cord and foot pedal!

I am a total beginner. Which class is right for me?

Welcome! We love teaching new sewists. Look for any workshop labeled "Level: Beginner" or our "Introduction to Sewing" courses. These are specifically designed for those who have never used a sewing machine before.

What should I bring to the workshop?

Just yourself! We provide all fabrics, threads, and tools. For our introductory classes, you will even have a selection of beautiful studio fabrics to choose from for your project.

How many people will be in the class?

We keep our classes very small, with a maximum of 4 to 6 students depending on the class. This ensures you get plenty of personal attention and hands-on guidance throughout the session.

Do you offer private tuition?

Yes! If you prefer a bespoke learning experience, we offer one-to-one sessions tailored to your specific goals. [Learn more here].

What is the minimum age to join?

At this time, all of our workshops are designed for adults (18+).

What happens if I can’t make it?

Please refer to our [Cancellation and Refund Policy] for full details regarding missed sessions or booking changes.

Getting Here

We are located in the iconic Bussey Building, which boasts excellent transport links from across South and Central London.

By Train: Peckham Rye Station (Overground and National Rail) is located directly across the road from our building.
By Bus: Rye Lane is served by several major bus routes, including: 12, 37, 63, 78, 197, 343, and 363.

Parking

There is a paid car park available on-site at Copeland Park. It operates on an hourly or daily fee basis; however, please note that spaces are limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that life happens! However, because our class sizes are very small.
Late cancellations have a significant impact on our studio.

12 Days

Cancellations with more

than 12 days' notice:

You will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a future date.

(Can be moved 1 time)

+7 Days

Cancellations with 7 days' notice:

We are unable to offer a refund, but we will happily move your booking to a future workshop date.

(Can be moved 1 time)

-7 Days

Cancellations with less than 7 days notice (or No-Shows): Regrettably, we cannot offer a refund or transfer for last-minute cancellations, as it is difficult to fill the spot on such short notice.
